A child can start dancing as soon as they start walking. For ballroom and Latin-American dancing, the best age to start is around 5 years old when most kids are able to focus longer, follow instructions, and begin learning dance routines.
Starting early is ideal because children learn movement patterns easily when they are young, similar to when they discover a new language.
Comfortable shoes, a bottle of water, and clothes in which the child can move freely. No special equipment or dance shoes are required for the first session.

Private lessons are 45 minutes each. You can schedule them at any time depending on instructor availability. This one-on-one format allows instructors to customise every minute to your child's needs.
Every child is different. Typically, the academy suggests entering the first competition after about 1 year of learning. Competition helps children grow faster, overcome nerves, meet friends, and learn to set and achieve goals.
